1 mile:  6:31

5K:  23:37

Half Marathon: 2:04

My first post-high school 5K, in which I thought I was going to die

The first time I won my age division.  Yippee!

My first half marathon, in which I attack Sasha

The time I beat my high school PR for the 5K (as a 31 year-old mommy of 3!)

My first 5K barefooted

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

Personal:

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

5K in the morning at 9:59 pace on average.  (Much better than 10:00 pace, doncha think?)

1.9 more miles this evening with my boys.  Sssslow!

My little 5 year old is having oral surgery tomorrow.  Nothing serious or dangerous, but I always feel a little scared when he has to be anesthisized.  Ug.  Here we go again.... Prayers appreciated.

Thanks for the welcome! First marathon was 2:38...but it was a painful 2:38. I hit the half in about 1:13 and I try to forget the second half most days...

Oh...and I just write music for fun too. I'm sort of trying to produce the CD myself, but it's a very slow ordeal. I just enjoy the process.

Hope all goes well tomorrow with little one! I undertand the anxiety it causes! Your doing great with the mileage

Prayers are sent your way!

I want in on the Moab registration. I'll keep an eye on Michelle's blog to see what we need to do.

Thanks guys.

Dennis, anyone who is not in pain after running a 2:38 1st marathon must be bionic. It is an amazing time--you clearly have a lot of potential.

Michelle, ya that's the name. Kind of long, huh? You can change it if you want. Dah! I'm feeling really indecisive. "Team FBR" would be good too. I'm excited to register, although the thought of this half is filling me with a peculiar sense of dread. I really want to do well, but I don't know what I'm doing yet.

Thanks Kim! I'll change my blog title after I've registered.
