1 mile:  6:31

5K:  23:37

Half Marathon: 2:04

My first post-high school 5K, in which I thought I was going to die

The first time I won my age division.  Yippee!

My first half marathon, in which I attack Sasha

The time I beat my high school PR for the 5K (as a 31 year-old mommy of 3!)

My first 5K barefooted

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

Personal:

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

I miss running.  I miss blogging, too.  Last night I had a Fast Running Blog dream.  Everybody from the blog was going for a 20 mile run together.  Everyone was there, Kim and Tom, Sarah and Sasha, Lucia, Camille, Monaflash etc. etc.  But I got sent back after half a mile and everyone else went without me.  I was very distressed about it.  Geez!

So I'm waiting for this mildly sprained ankle to heal enough to go for a short jog.  It doesn't bother me very much unless I've been on my feet too long.  Then it aches.   I bet I could probably run a mile on it now with minimal pain, but I think it would ache afterward, and probably take longer to heal.  So I wait...but not idly!  I am trying to focus on improving my sleep habits and eat healthier.

Ooooh!  I've started eating a "goddess salad" every morning for breakfast.  It's basically 2 cups of fresh spinach, several sliced strawberries, some chopped nuts, and a honey vinegarette dressing.  It is yummy, and I feel so dang healthy for eating it!  Then about 2 hours later, I have "second breakfast,"  oatmeal.  (Yes, I am on the Hobbit eating schedule.  Elevensies next...)

Anyway, though I feel like a goober posting when I'm not running, I think I'm going to do it anyway.  Sorry.

What a great dream..I wish I had your brain..runs together, flying. You remember what the last theme of one of my dreams was right? Lately I've been violent in my dreams..I must be a wee bit stressed from no running. Sasha told me to blog my walks in front of the house and I told him I'd feel dumb doing that. I'm glad you blogged because I love reading what you have to say..you have such a fun refreshing personality...don't deprive me. :)

Sarah, that is so funny about your dreams being more...aggressive during the post-partum period. I did that too, after each son was born. I'd dream that I was SCREAMING right in someone's face right before I woke up. That only happens to me right after I have a baby. Must have something to do with hormones.

And by the way, don't be stingy with YOUR blogs either! Well, I know you are probably super busy/tired, but I would loooove to hear more details about your precious little one and your daily life. (And at the end you can mention that you walked around the block if you want, just to make Sasha happy. ;)

That sounds like a REALLY yummy salad.

And there's nothing wrong with having a Hobbit's eating schedule (says the pregnant lady).

Cute dream, but I don't see Sasha and I running the same pace any time soon, so I doubt I'd be doing a 20 miler with him. I'd probably come back with you :o) We could have a small party!

I've been having weird dreams lately. Late night I had a dream that I was pregnant, and in my 5th month but not showing at all... and then POP! I had a belly. It was so weird.

So, does a goddess salad make you feel like a goddess??? :o) I am weird about food, and can't do a green salad with fruit in it, but it sounds good. I bet it looks pretty too!

It drives me crazy when I can't run - but it is so worth it to wait a little bit sometimes, then you come back faster and stronger.

Look at my blog and you will not feel like a goober at all :)

I love that salad. I put goat cheese on mine too. I love it, but all of a sudden when I read it typed out there, it sounded really weird. Trust me, it's good!

Lybi ... I read your blog today. I have been "out-of-touch" because of traveling and moving. I finally got internet service down here in Tucson and was catching up with my "favorite" blogs (of which yours was one) - and I wanted to tell you I was in Arizona and was thinking about you on Monday as we passed through Phoenix.

I read about Ava. You know, her glorious birth was my birthday. I will think of her always now. Belated hugs and thoughts to Shae and Dan. (and you).

See you soon,

Bonnie

Awwww so cute I was in your dream!!! How funny! I hope your ankle gets better soon, being injured is not fun. That salad sounds sooooooo good!
