1 mile:  6:31

5K:  23:37

Half Marathon: 2:04

My first post-high school 5K, in which I thought I was going to die

The first time I won my age division.  Yippee!

My first half marathon, in which I attack Sasha

The time I beat my high school PR for the 5K (as a 31 year-old mommy of 3!)

My first 5K barefooted

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

Personal:

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

3.1 Miles with Christine and then 2.1 more miles alone late at night.

And I am exhausted!!! This whole day I don't think I've sat down for even 5 min. all day.   Thing to thing to thing to thing to thing to thing to thing all day!  Blech!  I'm gonna have to hang out in my pajamas all day tomorrow to make up for all this busy frantic running around I did.   That'll be so cool when I go for my run...

Running in pajamas--that's an interesting idea.  Anyone ever done it before?

We're up WAY too late, girlfriend!! But it's cute that our blogs are now next to each other. :o) (simple pleasures)

Hey- nice run Tues- you seem to be recovering great from the 5k. I do worry about those "alone" miles you speak of? I only run in PJ pants (drawstring) when I've been too lazy to do laundry and am out of other running pants. That would be a fun 5k though, to have everyone run in PJs....

My friend and I always wore pajama bottoms to track meets in high school. They aren't clingy so it's nice :)

So how many people now have told you to stop running alone at night? Self defense rule #1: Don't walk/run alone in the dark :)

You are doing awesome on your 5K times! I just noticed your new time over there on the side. Great job!

QUIT RUNNING ALONG LYBI!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats it I'm telling James...

From Kim on Wed, Feb 13, 2008 at 18:10:15

Alone miles in the dark don't count as miles so you'd better quit doing them! I think you would be better off with a gym membership than the dark alone running!

Oh...my...GOSH! You guys are so protective. Today (Wed.) I did my first 3 earlier in the day just so I could avoid running alone late. I will try to do better, in general, on most nights.

Christi and Kristina--I knew you would not disappoint! Hahahahaha! That is so awesome that you've run in pajama pants. You guys are my heros.
