Prs:

1 mile:  6:31

5K:  23:37

Half Marathon: 2:04

My first post-high school 5K, in which I thought I was going to die

The first time I won my age division.  Yippee!

My first half marathon, in which I attack Sasha

The time I beat my high school PR for the 5K (as a 31 year-old mommy of 3!)

My first 5K barefooted

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

Personal:

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

James and I have to swap outside/inside running times so that one of us will always be here while our little kids sleep, so this is what I have to do if I want to get all my running done in the morning (unless I wake up at 4:00, but that is ABSOLUTELY NOT a suitable wake-up time in my book.  It's a better BEDTIME after reading a good book all night.  But there are bloggers who do it...Jon does it every day!  Jtshad too, I think.  Ouch!)

My hubby and I switch running too. It is so much easier to get up early in the summer time than the winter. Good job on your run.

Nice to see you are able to run again after your ward party adventure.

From lyndsay on Tue, Jun 17, 2008 at 19:53:27

Goodness gracious! 4am is 2 hours after I went to bed last night (after reading a good book all night).

Lyndsay--"The Host" is one of the rare occasions when it is worth it to be conscious at 4:00 am.

Sasha--thanks. Yes, I am fine. I only feel it a teensy bit if I do a lunge or something. Still being just a bit more cautious though. Hopefully that will carry over to fewer risk-taking behaviors at the next wild and crazy ward party!

Marion and Linda--thanks!

A better reason is to be doing the live webcast of the Wasatch Back Relay.

Wow, I'm glad that you have something worked out that keeps you from being awake at 4. Now we just have to wean you off of those all night book reading binges :P Fortunately you have over a month before Breaking Dawn comes out. You'd better get some extra sleep to prepare for it :)

From Michelle on Wed, Jun 18, 2008 at 22:46:14

Lybi, I'm just catching up, I've been oot for a few days. The ward party sounds like a blast I totally would have done that with you! I really want to do one like that comercial in the NBA playoffs, that looked so cool! So tell me about the Host...Does that mean that you recommend it?? I picked it up read the cover and then decided to wait and see how everyone weighs in on it! Hope that all is well in the running world, sounds like you are recovering nicely!

From Lybi on Thu, Jun 19, 2008 at 13:37:41

Michelle--yes! Of course you must read the host. My mom likes it better than the "Twilight" series. It's different. More meaningful, I think. There are some dry spots in the middle, but it is SO worth it in the end. That's how I felt about Harry Potter 7 too.

Kristina--Breaking Dawn is coming out that soon?

Sasha--Good luck at WBR! Live webcast, holy cow! Where is it going to be? How can we watch it?
